Provide Liberation Fonts to FreeType Extension

Reporter: RobertBColton  |  Status: open  |  Last Modified: January 14, 2020, 05:01:36 PM

This extension does two main things. First, it makes the FreeType extension hookable so other extensions can be made to add font finders/providers since FreeType is too stupid to find fonts on its own. Second, it adds a new Liberation Fonts extension which uses the FreeType extension's API to hook into it and provide liberation fonts. We are providing the liberation fonts as a cross-platform open source replacement for the Microsoft Windows fonts. The license for liberation fonts includes a linking exception according to fundies.
