It is really difficult to program with Enigma. I can't expect the functions that are working! It would be a good idea to make them change in color. Also, the D&D ones should have an indicator that they don't work.

If that takes time to do, then just have a button for quick check of all functions in the current script, or at least make F5 run the game!! I have to write one line, then go to menu then select run just to check if I am not using something not implimented. That's tedious!!!!

Again, blame IsmAvatar for not allowing Enigma to have its own syntax highlighting or toolbar buttons.

Or you could thank IsmAvatar for allowing us to use LateralGM at all. ENIGMA isn't on final release, we make no guarantees about usability until that point.

I can edit the GML syntax, but I have to do that each time she updates LGM, and I forgot to do so last time. We'll probably work something out for that.

Also, DnD is now converted to code, a lot of it. So it's no longer totally unusable; I just have to make some synonyms of the currently finished functions for them.

Don't know how we'll indicate unimplemented DnD.

Ism refuses to take ENIGMA on as anything more than a plugin, is all.

It will always be in beta, which is convenient, because then you can use that excuse to dismiss all criticism forever.

Everyone else on this forum is annoyingly optimistic.

I sometimes wonder if you know where the line between optimism and delusion is.

It is difficult to take it on as anything more so long as LGM and Enigma are written in different languages.

I agree with ISM.  While LGM is a decent temporary solution, an actual IDE made in C++ might be the best.

All those in favor of a new IDE can get started on its development while I work on bigger and better parsers and systems. ^_^

In other words, NOU.
