WARNING: Mac OS X is a terrible operating system and shouldn't be used by anyone under any circumstances.

What the fuck, while it may be overpriced, it whoops Linux' ass big time. I have never in my life met a single person in-person that actually uses Linux other than my uncle who lives in Alaska, and he's a geek. Linux is best suited to geeks, (the minority), the way you always have to fuck around with the terminal and shit is why it requires geek-knowledge. Windows is the number one desktop OS in the world, and Mac is closely behind. In fact, in-person I've met just as many Mac users as Windows users. Mac is NOT a terrible OS and it should be focussed on 1000x more than all the time that's been wasted on such a niche platform like Linux that nobody actually uses.

Windows is more suitable for boring office building work and Mac is better for graphic design, audio, media editing and hardware acceleration.

I actually met someone last friday that said something to the same effect of the quote above, and I completely agree. I hate iOS, and I hate Apple as a company, but their desktops and laptops were definitely done right. I wouldn't even wipe my ass with a Linux harddrive. But a Mac, I've wanted one for years but never had the money for it. I've always known about Windows and Mac, but I didn't know what Linux was or that it even existed until about two or three years ago. I have talked with my friends at school about Linux and they had no clue what I was talking about, they didn't even know what Linux was.

We were going to put the same notice on the Windows page, but it gets too much traffic for it to have lasted.

Truth be told, all these operating systems suck. The policy is "Pick your poison."

@Josh if computer OS suck in general, like you've suggested, what does that make videogame consoles and mobile devices, considering they can't do hardly anything computers can? You're right, every OS that has ever come into existence sucks major weiner. Technology sucks fat, firehose-cock. Therefore, I believe you were joking. :P

LOL !  Oh Cheeseboy's gonna rip you one now   ;D ;D ;D

It's true that most OS sucks in their own way so you pick the best poison for your needs. :P  If Windows was flawless, then M$ would have gone tits up ages ago and Bill Gate$ would be flipping burgers !  :D

AS far as MAC OS being the worse, I dare you to say that in a mac community forum  ;D

Personally I am a windows person too.....
They all sucked dick if you ask me, the best one I have ever had the pleasure of using is Windows 7 and still do, followed by XP.....

The quote is my own and it makes a lot more sense when not taken out of context.
Quote from: Robert on the Wiki
Due to the highly proprietary nature of Mac, this platform is difficult to develop for, although many aspects of it remain the same as on the preferred platform of Linux,

The App Store has much higher restrictions on content and so do the dev kits themselves, even if ENIGMA worked flawlessly on Mac there are still issues such as GPL licensed software not being allowed in the App Store. This is also why YYG's never had a PSP port because Sony got all pissy with them for some reason, and companies are finally learning how big of a mistake this is because Indie game development is no longer a joke. This is also why Microsoft is pushing indie game development for the Xbox One and also why they were pushing it on Xbox 360 with their XNA shit.

I am sorry if anybody disagrees, but in this regard, Windows and Linux are quite superior. Also Linux does not have to be complicated, the Ubuntu Software Center is quite easy to use it installs applications easily just like you would on Windows or Mac, the only difference is, it won't download duplicates of the same damn dependencies 50 times and bloat your hard drive usage.

I think it was Leonardo da Vinci who once said something along the lines of "If you build the robots, they will make games." or something to that effect.

That is nothing to be proud of. Ignorance is not a virtue. While I agree Windows it better for everyday use, Linux of course is better for performance and customization. Mac is good for neither. I hate that "Mac is good for graphic design, audio, media editing and hardware acceleration." because it isn't any better at those things than Windows. The only reason why it could be "better" is because it comes with some software for these things already. On the other hand if you install Adobe Suite on Windows, then you get the same thing with the same (or mostly better) performance. Actually Apple products move more and more out of design preference. In the 30 years of mac interactive site, you can see the "What they used it for" and things like design and visual effects are minor today. They are still used of course, but most designed and especially visual effects specialists want more customization options. Like you maybe need 2 quadro GPU's just for CUDA, but the new Mac Pro only has AMD cards in it and that by itself is a deal breaker for many.

They were probably being sarcastic, I mean who the hell hasn't heard of Linux lol, if you were to go to a kindergarten and ask kids about Linux I'm sure majority would tell you what it is....... :P
As far as the old MAC better for editing, that is another big myth.  Maybe it was at some point say couple of decades ago ? :D  Perhaps in terms of OS and system stability ?  People generalize.  If you have a good motherboard/chipset, memory, CPU, GPU, power supply ,etc, that make a STABLE system you will do fine.  I worked for years with large projects video / film edits and I used PCs and never had any problems.  It all comes down to the software and hardware, not whether it is PC or MAC.

I'm so bored of seeing no new posts here anymore and when I do it's almost never about a crazy awesome new ENIGMA update, like I patiently wait and hope for.

Edit: Maybe I'm just over-ungrateful is the real issue.
