Hi,

I've been emailing Josh earlier about ENIGMA and such and I got have to say that I think it's great to see a potential "copy" of Game Maker. Due to the released decompiler which can decompile Game Maker 5 till 7, many things are messed up since nobody can make things which are used online, like online highscores, multiplayer gaming or anything (a project I myself was working on). Those secrets and maybe passwords for mySQL databases, FTP or any other login can easily discovered if they are in the game. So it's an important thing that guys like you are doing projects like this so it can go on with the least knowledge being lost when you are using Game Maker.

How I've got to this site is still a question to me since I never hang out on GMC, GMG or 64D anymore, although I've been to GaarGod's site a little while back to do some research for the decompiler and I think that is the way I got here, I saw a link while doing research. And when I came here it looked really promising. First one of you mentioned that the release will NOT be in Valve time and I just read that Rusky mentioned something like maybe tomorrow. Well, it's not such a big of a deal.

Well. As my last words (in this post) about ENIGMA, I hope you guys will succeed and don't fall under too much pressure (although some guy is writing too much...) and I hope to see some updates soon :)

Yeah. I do have online highscores for some of my games, but I am not too worried since only game maker users play the games, so it isnt too big of risk. But yea, for larger projects for a wider audience, im looking forward to importing my project into enigma to compile it to make it secure.

But only Game Maker users actually care about the decompiler. It's just that it has been spread on a near Game Maker related network and of course no Game Maker user has ever downloaded it (just joking :P )

My main advantage I see in ENIGMA is its extensibility, it's really just parsed C++ with a game engine. You can fine tune the resultant C++ files, or even the ENIGMA shell files. Currently I'm working on the collision system for ENIGMA, which will also be a customizable (if you know C++) part of ENIGMA.

I think a lot of work went into this project and I can certainly see where Dr. Overmars might be a bit intimidated. This project really does have incredible possibilities and expands into the full access of the Windows GUI...possibiliites of complete subroutines for repeditive tasks as in some graphic applications........I'm really pumped about this!

Unfortuneately I've experienced some quirky and non compliant behavior from the program even after loading the most current Java run time. I'm certainly looking forward to future developement and smoother general mechanics on this one.

This has more potential than you might realize as more people tune into the possibilities !!!!

Outstanding peice of work !!!! Pappa Dragon ~
