I'm asking anybody that knows. I opened a topic on the C::B forum, if someone wants to help me getting it to work.

But if you don't need any more help compiling on different platforms, then I can just uninstall C::B.

Activating my account on the C::B forum was really a pain in the a**. I finally activated my account,
maybe I'll find somebody who can help me getting the compiler to work.

Do you still need testing on the source compilation? I've win7 32bits

General ENIGMA / Re: ENIGMA on iPhone - Now legally impossible

Not only the iPhone has a great market share, but with the OS comes standardized hardware.
Nokia may have sold many more phones, but only a tiny fraction of those phones could run 3D games,
let lone run them fluently. Therefore development stagnated.

We need to recognize that Apple has succesfully created and monopolized the biggest market for mobile apps ever.
If you want to access that market, you have to pay. This is simply not right.
Corporations are always invoking free market, but this is what we really get, lock-in.

Ok, I was able to download the whole source (maybe because I permanently accepted the signature instead of temporarily?)
I need some help getting C::B to work.

Sign up link on the top right
This definitely needs to be changed. That thing is mimetic.

How do I get an account?

It said it autodetected it, and I clicked ok, then I reset it since it did nothing at all, and autodetected it again.
Still it doesn't work. Maybe I should ask on the C::B forums, but it could take time.

My NetBeans works just fine, so Cygwin is installed correctly.

I'll be offline for a couple of hours, sorry.

I've just installed the normal C::B version and it detected the Cygwin GCC correctly.
Still it doesn't run anything, I opened a C++ file, hit the build and run button and it didn't do anything, no error and no log, stange...

EDIT: damn, it asked me if I wanted to set that compiler as default, but didn't set anything
now that I've manually set it, it gives me an error

Compiling: C:\Users\Pepsi\Documents\NetBeansProjects\bubble_sort\main.cpp
Execution of 'g++.exe    -c C:/Users/Pepsi/Documents/NetBeansProjects/bubble_sort/main.cpp -o C:/Users/Pepsi/Documents/NetBeansProjects/bubble_sort/main.o' in 'C:\Users\Pepsi\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\CodeBlocks' failed.
Nothing to be done.

Checking for existence: C:\Users\Pepsi\Documents\NetBeansProjects\bubble_sort\main.exe

And it keeps asking me if I want to build the project.

I downloaded RapidSVN and followed your instructions, I got this error
BTW you mean the windows terminal?

Also, I don't know there to download LGM 1.6 b4, I only found b3 on the official site.

I've installed GCC via CYGwin, so I don't know which version of C::B to download, the basic one, or the MinGW one.
I'm afraid of messing it up.

I'm on Win 7 32bits right now, and I need some advice.

If you are on Windows, do the following:
- Copy this to ENIGMAsystem/additional/zlib/:
What should I do in order to have a ENIGMAsystem directory?

-Check out the SVN repository (from command line, use  svn co enigma-dev )
What command line shall I use? You mean somewhere inside C::B? I've never used it...

-Run LateralGM, best done with a terminal via "java -jar lateralgm16b4.jar" -- This terminal should have +++++++++++++ at the bottom.
---If it does not, or if that errors, paste output here.
I'm lost here. Where do I download LateralGM? Is it ok if I just execute the downloaded .jar?

Dude, honestly I could care less about the code editor.
i agree with MJS. i want the meat!

People, people, the facade is important. Imagine what the first Enigma users will see, they'll see something that looks inferior.
After all this work, we want to give a good impression.

Also, a code editor wouldn't slow the release much.
He just said he can make it in a day or so. Trust him.

You can write a code editor in a day? :o

A quick question. It just came to my hear that you can deallocate a whole array in GM using the var trick

var A;

Will it deallocate the whole array in Enigma too?

There is an off-topic section for this kind of discussions.

I wonder if these people code as much as they debate.
