If you're following the recent dev news, Godot Engine has go 2.0 stable.
with the new site and Steam page
Home: http://www.godotengine.org/
Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/404790/
Game Maker Studio has gone too far and lost what it originally is, Godot is literally promising for it's community driven and open source development, and now we have many engines to choose, it's just a little information for ya.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BTW a few former CraftStudio developers made an open source game maker called SuperPowers,
Site: http://superpowers-html5.com/
Unlike CraftStudio, SuperPowers uses TypeScript and some new HTML5 components, the actual workflow is rather an IDE than Game Maker, but I feel most of things are done right(not perfect, but right), and it's still under development.
