Just out of curiosity, what is the difference between NaturalGM and LGM? Are they both part of the ENIGMA project, or is NGM yet another IDE altogether?

LateralGM is a complete augmentation of Game Maker's IDE and compatible with really old games, as is our engine itself, we take pride it not breaking backwards compatibility like Studio. NaturalGM is an IDE in development by DaSpirit who wants to make a better on than YoYoGames and do it properly.

I think it was Leonardo da Vinci who once said something along the lines of "If you build the robots, they will make games." or something to that effect.

Natural GM and Lateral GM are both IDEs, both separate from ENIGMA. LGM is the only one that works with ENIGMA, however, it is only through a plugin. LGM does not natively support ENIGMA and neither will NGM. NGM is not even functional at the moment. ENIGMA is a compiler, not an IDE.

And while LGM and NGM are not directly related to ENIGMA, both developers (IsmAvatar and me, respectively) do help out with ENIGMA from time to time.

If you are interested in developing for one, NGM is written in C++ and is being created to replace LGM, which is written in Java.

I honestly don't know. I spent days creating sketches and trying to create them in Inkscape. None of my original sketches became the original. The final icon was just me winging it. It doesn't look good small, so I'm going to have it edit it eventually. The SVG is uploaded on the wiki.

Thanks, that makes a lot more sense. I thought NGM and LGM were both competing with each other.

It's still amazing.
