Due to recent criticism
LOL - This place is a fucking ghost town. You haven't even seen criticism son !
I am going to open a topic for everyone to criticize my development habits.
Or rather your non development habits. Blaming school, blaming others, so what habits are you on lately ? Oh I know, you are too busy studying the inner workings of GM Studio, the amazing piece of software that you know so well you cold never even come close to competing with if you even tried.......But that's good. It's good to know that GM:S is admired. Keep studying it, by the time you release something even 50% as good, GM:S will be obsolete and YYG will have released dozens of new exports, a plethora of bug fixes, new features and major revisions........ So yeah folks, ENIGMA is a great Game Maker "augmentation" AHAHAHAHAH yeah it sure is, it is a good alternative to Game Maker 4 ! lol!
and an amazing engine for the n00bs who want to add a bit of AI and computing power to their lame ass "catch the clown" type of games.........Now their lame excuse pixelated game and catch the fucking clown game can be compiled now and they can brag to their nerdy friends at school that their shit game is compiled (ohhhh wow great achievement !!!!)
My retort to these criticisms so far is just because I am in favor of more rapid development,
Oh Jesus Fucking Christ, at least we agree on something........So let's proceed to some more "augmentations" shall we ? Maybe by 2020 your software can complete with Game Maker 7, maybe 8.1...........
doesn't make me horribly inexperienced for running a software development project or rather in this case having a large say in its development.
*YAWN* this is the part where I actually start to fall asleep!
First I would like to introduce you to the rapid development strategy known as DevOps.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DevOps
It basically stresses good communication between developers, testers, and project leaders. Without good communication we end up with incidents such as polygonz merging a commit without communicating it to another developer such as myself which I always request or it undergoing any quality assurance.
Now this is where I mainly want to retort IsmAvatar in that I do not agree with full blown unmonitored contributions. Many people have heard me complain about Canonical releasing bugged updates constantly, and is also one of the main reasons I currently will not use Linux.
Bla bla bla so you don't agree with his full blown penis ! Understood.
Personally I reckon that any development that is open source and is contributor based SHOULD be monitored, SHOULD have a
COMPETENT lead developer who assigns and who has a pair of fucking balls! Things should be monitored unless you want to end up with a disorganised mess.
I would rather steer away from just criticism and request that anyone posting here post constructive criticism and not just how bad I suck but rather what I could do to improve my communication skills and help improve the work flow with other developers.
Ooops, too late !
But what good is it to give constructive criticism when it reaches deaf ears (or a blind eye
) I think you have gotten your fair share of constructive criticism mate........you lot are not in sync, someone needs to run this fucking ship, lead the fucking project, assign work, get a good team that communicate with one another, where everyone is on the same goddamn wave length on what's to be done, and who's working on what........ Have some set "to do" and deadlines and get them done.......your site is a disorganised mess,
you have developers fighting with one another, disagreeing so much and stalling the progress of your software, how the hell do you expect to go forward!
You can keep on drawing all those lame ass graphics and projections there and pull some magic rabbits out of you arsehole, but the real problem are your developers / team and lack of communication and organisation.
You know you lot remind of MediaChance, a company that released what could have been an amazing multimedia authoring program to make windows apps called MultimediaBulder......They had an amazing product that allowed anybody to make windows apps, without coding or with easy coding........They had similar problems to what you guys are going through and finally the project got abandonned - what a shame to see ENIGMA headed the same way down the shit hole.
