Banned for extreme liklihood of being spambot, despite being really bad at spamming. Honestly, what the hell?

And let me just assert that this WOULDN'T FUCKING HAPPEN IF THOSE GODDAMN IDIOTS THAT WROTE THE SMF CAPTCHA HAD REALIZED THAT THE POINT OF A SECURE CAPTCHA IS VOIDED ENTIRELY WHEN YOU OFFER UNOBFUSCATED SPEECH-TO-TEXT-PHILIC AUDIO CONFIRMATION AS AN ALTERNATIVE.

Fuck, if you can't read, get the hell off the visual forum. Now we have a thousand spam bots that are so well written as to have a library of audio samples to compare SMF's text-to-speech to. And let me say, that's not all that well-written considering how sneaky that audio thing is.

It does look like a spambot, but what's its business model - could someone explain? I don't see direct advertising.

It's definitely a spam bot (google its text), and I am not entirely sure in this case.

I believe it's a general purpose spambot, and it wants you to activate its account for it by clicking its link. That would probably allow it to bulk create accounts. That's just my theory. It could be using that link for dozens of other purposes, though.

If it knows the link, why not just send a GET request to that URL?
And since it's from enigma-dev, what could that link possibly do besides activating an account?

I was honestly stumped by this one. I think its intention is to seem human so it can sneak in advertisements subliminally for a short lived period. Meaning it'd have to be able to tell if anyone replied to its post.

That is aimed at index.php, and the only thing I can think of it trying to achieve is hoping to cause some error.

Who cares now with reCAPTCHA. The bans will be reserved for dumb people ^_^
