Anyone else notice the vast ignorance of this stupid weirdo from the GMC? He's literally oblivious to everything. I don't want to go into details as to witness his idiocy was far to much to handle and I'd rather not remember this guy. Just wondering if anyone else noticed, with no surprises I'm expecting at least one other person here to agree. NPT is literally like a full grown, gender-changed honey boo boo and it's giving me a rash. A confused, brainwashed vegetable.

Robert that is so racist they have darker skin in India doesn't make them black or African. India is a penninsyla at the bottom of Asia. Get your 4th grade geography straight. :P

I got my four wisdom teeth pulled 2 years ago. I didn't feel anything. So happy I was out cold when they were pulled. I've heard a rumor that sometimes when they knock you out like that on rare occaisions there's a risk you'll still be completely awake and can feel the pain of them being pulled as they are being pulled but you can't move, scream, or anything, you can't control yourself you just sit there limp and in pain.

Anyways, I was just sleepy, the procedure went well, no non-wisdom teeth damaged, didn't feel sick. When I stopped being too sleepy to eat I could eat solid food right away. I don'rt remember them saying a thing about not eating solid food for X amount of time but I guess you guys must have had something different happen during the procedure.

How the heck do I do that?

YOOOooo guys I'm making major headway!!! :D

I've tried running my games in Virtual Box and they all run at 0.5 frames per second so yeah I'm planning a dual boot at this point.

This has become too much of a pain and so I'll be installing Ubuntu via an actual disk image hopefully by no later than next weekend. I've been busy. Thanks anyways edsquare, I really appreciate it! :D

darkstar you deleted your comment in this topic when I refreshed and it was before I actually read it. What did you say, bro?

Developing ENIGMA / Re: Android

Are you actually going to expand what ENIGMA's android can do atm or are you just bug reporting so you can fiddle with the capability of the android port's current state?

The artwork is now "done" I have a lot to do still her body proportions don't look right but I might keep it that way being lazy. It has a background from a photo I took at the beach. I added more effects with the text. Addded a menu. The letters read from left to right the three "synonyms" for the japanese slang, "chibi".

I've considered a hidden "cheat" to make her topless in that picture, since I already drew that version, but it's more of a joke than anything because I don't spank my monkey watching a cartoon that's just weird.

I am working on a lot of projects now, but this one is on the top of my priority list for the time being. This game will be a anime/chibi art-styled platformer. Kimi has three forms; blonde hair / normal form, black hair / gothic form, and white hair / angelic form. Normal form is the default you'll need to pick up items to temporarily change to gothic or angelic form. Angelic & gothic form have opposite ability pros and cons. Normal form is an even ballence between the two. This is what Kimi looks like in the title screen:

Which obviously isn't chibi, it's "regular" anime. But in the actual gameplay, to make the art easier to produce, what with all the animation and stuff, she'll be chibi style. Google image "chibi" if you are confused. Kimi proudly wear her biniki in honor of the best time of year, the summer, no matter how cold it gets, with no blankets to snuggle in. Join her in her quest to stop an anonymous evil force from throwing planet earth into an eternal winter. The artwork you see right now as well as everything to come in this topic I did from scratch and is my property.

Introduction - Why I Chose Portable Ubuntu

I'm using Portable Ubuntu to test my games made with GMStudio. It's basically the same thing as running Ubuntu inside a Virtual Box, but it's much easier to install and to work with when switching between Windows and Ubuntu plus it runs with literally zero lag, whereas in Virtual Box I can't test my Ubuntu games at all due to running at 1 frame per second.

The Problem - Portable Ubuntu is Outdated

The only downside to it, it hasn't been updated since 2011 if I remember right, and that means it will only run Ubuntu 10.4 or older. GMStudio games in theory should work, though it is targeted for only Ubuntu 12.10 or later, there still might be hope. This is the absolute best way to run Ubuntu within and beside an existing Windows OS, I'd hate to ignore it given the possibility it might still run my games with a couple small tweaks.

The Possible Solution - Installing *.SO Libraries

So I run my game by double clicking the Linux App, nothing appears. To investigate I try opening the game in the terminal. This error appears
Code: [Select]
pubuntu@pubuntu:~$ /home/pubuntu/Desktop/GAMES/RMWP/RMWP
/home/pubuntu/Desktop/GAMES/RMWP/RMWP: error while loading shared libraries: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
So to fix this I install ENIGMA's dependencies since that includes ""
Code: [Select]
sudo apt-get install g++ zlib1g-dev libglu1-mesa-dev libalure-dev libvorbisfile3 libvorbis-dev libdumb1-dev
Which is great because that fixed the issue. But here's a new issue that now I'm stuck at:
Code: [Select]
pubuntu@pubuntu:~$ /home/pubuntu/Desktop/GAMES/RMWP/RMWP
/home/pubuntu/Desktop/GAMES/RMWP/RMWP: error while loading shared libraries: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Conclusion - Need Some Assistance (Please?)

I've Google'd for 6+ hours attempting to install through the terminal or any other way possible "" which appears to be available nowhere on the internet. I tried this in the terminal
Code: [Select]
sudo apt-get update
apt-cache policy libssl-dev
sudo apt-get install libssl-dev
It installed "", but I don't need that, I need "". I also tried many variations of something like this
Code: [Select]
sudo apt-get install libssl1.0.0 libssl-dev
But everything I tried brought no expected results. Please help! I'm documenting everthing I do with this so I can make a tutorial for someone who isn't banned to post for me on the GMC on how to make your GMS games run in Portable Ubuntu with minimal setup hassle. It could be a major benefit to all Ubuntu GM users everywhere.
