Ok, well I ran Git-Bash.exe "update" when I ran into the first ran into that permission denied error, it didn't help, so I just wiped enigma and reinstalled the original zip now.
Now, permision denied still there on run, and now it can't find the resource "game_end()" on compile...
I'm gonna try an out of the box virtual machine to see if it's my computer now...
Did you set Widget System to None in this example?
I don't quite know where that is, but everything was in factory default settings...
Ran CMD...
%PROGRAMDATA% = C:\ProgramData
So, I don't think that's the problem...
if your antivirus or computers security doesn't allow ENIGMA to write out data, then ENIGMA will not be able to write out data. Just try for 1min disabling antivirus and then launch LGM and compile. Just to verify that it is the problem.
... Nope disabled Comodo Internet Security Premium... No change, but knowing Comodo, their security can hold a grudge and if it sandboxes a file or something similar, you can't access it even if you turn it off... But I can't see any sign of it doing anything like that...
@TheExDeus , recompiling the DLL hasn't made any difference, I've tried it 4 times now...
So it seems that the OP can't compile anything on his PC and it's not just ENIGMA. The compiler and linker doesn't have permissions to run for him and I am sure it's some antivirus or something like that which is not letting it. Probably needs to either whitelist or disable it.
I've tried stuff like this many times as well... I also use GM: 8 GM: S and Visual Studio 2014 (/ 2013), So other applications can do the job, but I might try giving minGW32.exe administrator permissions...
I encourage the OP also to delete that folder (by default C:\ProgramData\ENIGMA\.eobjs on Windows7 and up). Then when you compile it should recompile all the objects (so it can take longer, but you at least know there are no conflicts).
Ok, tried this...
Run; Permission Denied
Compile; The exe worked; but the compiler show acouple errors (note that the exe I made was just an object using "show_message("Hello World!")")
Failed to add resources to the game... Did it compile sucessfully?
(Or something like that, I forgot to copy the compile script and it didn't happen again, the second time it said permission denied...)
