http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2014/04/09/exit-of-windows-xp-will-help-linux-leapfrog-mac-os.aspx
Let's hope this forecast will be true. In my office, we are using windows 8, and i think the Metro interface is nonsense on desktop and laptop pcs.
WinBlowJobs 8 is epic fucking fail - I hated this vile excremential attempt at an OS the minute I installed it. Who's fucked up the ass idea was it to merge a mobile interface / look on a desktop !!! They are 2 distinct things. I want my desktop motherfuckers, DESKTOP! I don't need to have the impression I am using a larger version of my mobile, it's really ugly. I am using windows 7 and will use it for a long time. I hope Microsoft learned their lesson for their next iteration of windows. Or are they like YoYoGames and too lazy to accommodate both worlds and decided to merge desktop/mobile together in the same OS. And yes I am aware about the tools to bring desktop and classic shell back LOL pointless, I hate the metro interface, when I first used Win8 I thought it was some sort of prank or really bad joke.......or I was having a bad dream.......

I don't mind Windows 8.1 really, they just yeah, clearly fucked up. I mainly miss glass (for some odd reason they kept it only for the taskbar) and the classic start menu which is rumored to come back anyway, other than that I will be satisfied. I like the more simplistic look of the common controls, but they are just wayyyy tooo simplistic, it's damn near impossible to tell when I've clicked on the "Show Desktop" next to the clock. Buttons and shit definitely look better, but scrollbars, omfg scrollbars have gotten 1000x worse I can't even see the fuckers half the time.

Yeah but TKG, the great thing about Windows 7, if you didn't like Glass, you could turn it off. In Windows 8, you don't only not have an option to turn it off the taskbar or on for windows, you're straight up fucked.

For the record, this interface isn't really a mobile interface either, it's a shit interface, it's so god damn complicated to open file explorers and shit now, I am pretty sure people would have been happier buying a Surface or some shit if it just worked like regular Windows, because this shit is retarded.

Good thing the GNOME and Unity teams have been striving so hard to make their interface comfortable to XP fans out of the box. Without their efforts, I'd be afraid ex-XP users take their chances with Win8.1.

So their choices are OS X or OS X with a Linux kernel and GCC.
