In an effort to end this forum's war on spam, I've made it so it's virtually impossible to spam until you've made a post. The side effects of that include the inability for new members who are here legitimately to edit their profile or do other personalizations one would typically do upon registration. So, this topic is for humans who would like to have somewhere legitimate to post so they can edit their profiles and use the messaging systems.

So yes, say hi, and say something to make the admins think you're here because you are genuinely interested in what goes on here.

Well, I suppose this is as good as place as ever to make a first post. So, hi. I'm Jay Bolte, and I finally made an account here on the forums. I've been hanging around your IRC channel and website for nearly a week now, and I really am interested in this project. I would like to learn more about programming to be able to help out in some way.

Hi Jbolte. I think there was a special forum for this before, but I think its deleted now.

Anyway, I am glad (and others are too I suppose) that there is one more person interested in development. If you have any programming experience then you probably could end up helping. For example, I use C++ very rarely and actually only when I am helping here. Still, I am able to create functions and share with them. You could maybe also write something in the wiki. I usually document the functions I make myself, but there probably are things you can add.

Hi. I have been away from game maker for about a year, but am thinking about spending some time on projects again. I have been aware of this program but did not use it before today. Wish me luck. :)

Hello everyone. I'm very interested in using ENIGMA and judging by how it's treated me so far, I think I might want to switch to it from GM. (EDIT 2: I realize that I might have to wait a tiny bit further into its development.) I've used LateralGM in the past but only for its Defrag IDs function.

EDIT: Oh and I've been using Game Maker since I was 10. :P (I was young so I was probably just changing sprites in tutorial games for the first few years and then using drag and drop for the next few until I went to GML.)

EDIT 3: Fair warning - I'm obsessed with toucans.

Hello! Great that ENIGMA is treating you good (because a boy called cheeseboy gets rejected by it in any way possible). But the best thing about ENIGMA is that you can add your own functions (even temporary ones if you are waiting for the devs themselves to implement them) so if you know C++ or want to learn while writing code, then you can create everything you need or want.

I am waiting for extensions system to blossom, so then I will be able to hook up paths once and for all. If that doesn't happen in the next few days, then I will commit path functions anyway, as you can still use them just fine.

And why are you obsessed with toucans? You have one? Or two? Or more?

Happy to have you; welcome to the forums. Feel free to stop in on the IRC sometimes: that's where all the action is.
