LOL - how the bloody hell are you going to pull that off alone ? If that was possible and you did it, then you are 1) an extra terrestrial 2) a bloody genius and you are sitting on a gold mine. 3) 24/7 full time dedication without eating, sleeping or taking a dump! multi platform, rock solid and full featured, damn I'd be fucking impressed !!! But we both know it's not going to happen. Unless you've been secretly working on this for the past several years. If you have such ability to do something in such short period of time then you should re-write ENIGMA and fix it then you clearly have a gift that most professional developers even with their studies and skill would kill for ! Now back to planet earth, nobody is going to make a full featured engine in less than 3 months ! NOTE THE KEY WORD full featured, feature comparable and better than ENIGMA or GMS.......Not just some prototype thingy that is limited.......Show me that and then I'll be quite impressed heck, even Josh himself will probably bow down to you ! They have tons of devs over at YYG and GMS 2 is still in very VERY early stages and it's not something that will be released out the door any time soon....I mean they mentioned they wished a beta for this year but to that I say LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not even close, LUCKY if we see GMS2 surfacing knobs by mid to fall 2015 !!! So good luck building what people normally take years to build, in less than 3 months, if you can pull that off then yeah, my opinions on a lot of things might change

I said 'basic' not 'full featured', but challenge accepted You might need to add two months if you want full featured

If I remember correctly I could have swore someone helped Overmars, like one of his colleagues or something along those lines, with the Direct3D support and a few other features of the original GM. The Game Maker's apprentice too has other authors. http://www.pompanobeachhigh.com/documents/holley/game_makers_apprentice.pdf

I think it was Leonardo da Vinci who once said something along the lines of "If you build the robots, they will make games." or something to that effect.

Well ladies and gents, here we are November 8, 2014, planet earth Those who wet their trousers at the thought of them having the YYC and a hand job on November 6, will have to be a wee more patient..... effectively, things will be delayed for a while, as the YYC integration will be part of the next upgrade along with other fixes as well and 1.4 out the door, so obviously they want to bundle this in one update, so who here didn't actually expect a delay ? you will have to wait for the "free" YYC, it's been delayed, but the wait might be worth it...... software is a lot like sex..... nobody likes rushed releases....... (though some do )

Yep, and they said it could be quite a delay too. Speaking of delays, it has been 5 months and haven't seen a cent from the asset store either... Only had $600 in transactions...

What you haven't heard ? Minimum to request payment $10k lol! 5 month is bloody unreasonable. Yes it's going to be quite a delay, they sure know how to excite people and then break the news...GM2 probably will be delayed too - remember they said they hoped for a beta in 2014 LOL. I bet you this "DELAY" can extend beyond new year. They don't want to release the YYC before finalising the touches on 1.4, I bet you they bloody knew that and did that on purpose to lure people to spend money on exports before the 6th......nice and clever. I'm leaving soon for 2 weeks (special assignment too ) and when I am back I expect they will announce the delay OFFICIALLY and as usual people will complain they were having wet dreams over the YYC bla bla bla.....

YYC is available in Early Access as of right now.
Just tried in in a basic test project and compiled in YYC in about 8 seconds on my system.
Haven't tested performance yet.

It certainly was $300 well saved. My main project lost 40% of its framerate when compiled with YYC.

It's hard to believe ! what kind of project is it ? Is it CPU intensive ? GPU ? If your project has lot of scripts, CPU intensive game, AI, etc it should in theory be much faster, unless we've been lied to all this bloody time. Feel sorry for the people who lost $300 in this SC........ I don't think ALL YYC projects are frame reduced maybe there are some situations where the YYC does not help and others where it helps. When I come back from secret assignment I will get to the bottom of this....... Cheers and don't forget your engine LOL!

GPU intensive. Faily light on the CPU. So that would be why. I am throwing a lot at this project though, in all aspects. Most games will always be more GPU heavy though. Unless you make a game to crack 128 bit encryption or something.

So if it's GPU intensive then why the hell would the YYC drop your FPS 40% ..... it's weird.......it's as if it's actually disabling hardware acceleration and using CPU to render lol! So we can assume it's not the YYC slowing shit down but the CRAP that it is that was never optimised. I feel sorry for people who actually paid for this crap and yes some have
