I think it was Leonardo da Vinci who once said something along the lines of "If you build the robots, they will make games." or something to that effect.

Well, I would get a Windows laptop... so I could stick Linux on it instead!

I like things about both operating systems, Windows for its user interface and friendliness and Linux for its comprehensive development environment and package systems.

I also think the RT Surface is really neat, with its nice trim keyboard and all, good luck typing word documents on an iPad :\

Can't say I'd be keen on using any tablet device to type long documents on, really.

As for Windows, it's useful, though it tends to be more a gaming OS for me (primary OS is Ubuntu, might switch to Debian though). Using XP right now, but I guess I should really get 7 (don't want 8.x). Need to get my main PC up and running again first, though...

Yeah that is really the only reason I can't make Linux my main desktop, bad drivers and the GUI.

But I would like a separate computer to make into a Linux distro for development, as Linux is veryyyyy friendly to developers.

I like the GUI with Linux I'm using (GNOME). Can't stand Unity. And as for drivers, well... so far, I've not run into any issues there.

I think Cinnamon is better than Gnome (Gnome 3.8, 3.4 is nice)

Bing really sucks in Poland and I don't wanna be spying (?) by Google so I use DDG :P

Well I'm not surprised. Chromebooks are cheap as dirt and Microsoft wants to get into that market. Three of Amazon's top ten best selling laptops are Chromebooks. Having their OS pricey is what's stopping that IMO. Nothing like trying to buy a cheap device and being clotheslined by the OS pricetag being 1/3rd of the total cost of the device.

Their pawn stars video is very cringeworthy.
