Here at YoYo Games we like to make tools. We also like to make games. We like to make tools that make games then make games that are tools to make other games. While what they are saying here makes sense, they sound fucking retarded and very unprofessional. And it is another one of their lies. In honesty they should have said: Here at YoYoGames we don't like to make worthless shit. But we do like to make money. So we like to make worthless shit so that we make money.
Extended version: We don't give a fuck about customer satisfaction or producing quality products unless it effects our sales. It's all about the money. If it does effect our sales even then we won't listen to our customers hardly at all, because the motivation is in the money and nothing else. It's one thing if we lose one customer and get complaints from just one customer, we don't give a fuck even if we get a ocean of customers that aren't satisfied, as long as we are still making enough money to meet our expectations, we're good. Fuck those customers who aren't satisfied.

I think it was Leonardo da Vinci who once said something along the lines of "If you build the robots, they will make games." or something to that effect.

Just to come back to this again, Idk if anybody else actually tested it, but it takes the things like 5 hours to load the map, the compiled version is supplied by them. Actually to be fair it took 3 minutes, but that is still pretty ridiculous considering the original GTA loads virtually instantaneously if you run it now and it loads way more shit too like audio, pedestrians, and traffic among other things. I would like to see this built in ENIGMA with Josh's new compiler because I've already confirmed my mesh handling to be much more optimal then theirs is, and there is probably some really bad code used in loading and constructing the map which is why I think Josh's compiler would help to. But I can't really say much without looking at the code which I've yet to do, but still it runs as bad as if it was made in GM5.
Edit: Upon further investigation it also has choppy framerates, in fact, I've seen better GTA clones made in GM5 too, and they ran better as well!

Why so much hate for the competition? They are just a group of people trying to make something people can use to do something cool. They've also made something that inspired people to create ENIGMA.

They're not ripping it off... Mike Dailly is the creator of Grand Theft Auto... That doesn't explain copy catting Rockstar games now though, the issue was not the game. The issue is them copy and pasting every marketing campaign out there, including Unity3D's exact website! See previous topic for details... http://enigma-dev.org/forums/index.php?topic=1605.0Why so much hate for the competition? You haven't kept up with the controversy with them, have you? Like for instance the DRM backfire? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GameMaker:_Studio#Digital_rights_management

Something I'd love to point out, we already have enough catch the clown and mark overmars tutorial edits. Now YYG are giving something that is remotely half decent and they are giving it into the hands of more mental idiots and primitive 14 year olds. The original 1945 game is on Google play now and the guy who published it changed nothing but gave it a new name now the fucker is selling it as if it's his work. YYG needs to stop empowering retards to steal and fuck up their personal work. Dumb as shit.
They need to be fed is a sucky game, yet because 2D cube made the 360 gravity physics engine he used open-source. have a look at "Drawing Universe" and "Drawing Galaxy" on Google play, iTunes etc it stole 2D cube's work even though 2D cube made it very clear that his engine was meant for educational use only, meaning no dirivitive works can be published without his conscent. Though they need to be fed sucks balls and is a terrible game, Drawing universe and drawing galaxy make they need to be fed look like the best game of all time.the guy who made these games about "Drawing", for someone who "draws" boy does this fucker suck cock at it. He can't even draw a stick figure. The proportions for his stick figure character are terrible. He over used GM's built-in particles, it's just plain embarrassing.

Is that so shit for brains ? You clearly have not used Game Maker in its early years.......otherwise you would have something to compare. They have listened and incorporated so many features that were requested, they are constantly releasing updates and fixing bugs + adding new features. The product might not be perfect but it has gone a bloody long way ! They have a friendly community, not some ghost town of a forum and mangled site.......they have staff there monitoring and answering people. They directly address bug reports and offer solutions or fixes in the following releases. People for long wanted many export options, and they got it now.........people wanted physics and other added features, they got it with Studio. YoYoGame is a for profit company, not some fucking charity, of course a company's goal is to earn money, what fucking planet are you on ? But keep in mind a lot of people profiting from YYG's amazing software - aside from the wannabe and failed attempts at newbie mario ports and catch the clown crap, many developers have released quality games on app stores and independently all thanks to Game Maker Studio, something they could have dreamed of back in the days of GM through Mark Overmars who did not have resource or time or cared to listen to his fans to further develop the software (much like ENIGMA now ) SO YYG acquired GM and made it big.......How dare you say this bloody rubbish about YYG and their product ! You are spreading complete lies. Name me ONE company that is perfect, every product has some flaws, you could say much the same about YYG's competitor product costing more.....But saying they treat their customers like crap and don't care, that is going way too far !!! They are in the business to make money, nothing wrong with that...... Don't forget all the money they gave through competitions, and all the talented dvs who used their product....yes they used GM and they are happy, and some made fame with them........ You have a choice to either code your own game from scratch, go learn C++ or play with game making tools........GM is still quite decent for most people - ENIGMA, is just one lame ass attempt and one FAR CRY of even being called competition. Game Maker Studio is a *REAL* product. ENIGMA is a work in progress that will always remain a work in progress and at the snail pace it is progressing, even GM will be obsolete and people will be playing with 3D holographic projection capable games, virtual games and travel in space.......... You catch me drift

lol - yeah ENIGMA is the best thing that ever happened to YoYo Games, because once people realise what a pile of dung this product is they will quickly realise how better off they were with GM and go back to YYG. ENIGMA is a good tool to convert back traffic to YYG...... Inspired........lol - what good is it if ENIGMA can't even properly compile and handle the majority of projects (GM7/GM8/GMS) etc even simple games. without tons of issues. I'm sure the folks at YYG are laughing their arses off ! If I were the lead developer at YYG I would not be worried one bit..... ENIGMA is a wee joke. You know I reckon you should change the title to your software........ It's an insult to use the word ENIGMA It should be called HYPE instead ! Maybe Robert can add this idea to his wee list of TO-DOs, I'm sure he can manage to squeeze in an extra TO DO in his ever so busy schedule yea ? TO DO: * Rename software from ENIGMA to HYPE More suggestions for new names * StallGM * VAPOR * DOORKNOB (oh I like this one ) * ORIFICE * SMOKESCREEN * SMEGMA (and it even rhymes with ENIGMA too!) Cheers
