Error when trying to compile, run, debug and build with Enigma

when i try and compile, run, debug or build any of my gmd gm6 or gmk files i get an error "Enigma Communication Error (8)". I am using Enigma-R3 and i would like to know how to make it work

i would recommed compiling r4... what OS are you using?

Justme: I assume you are on Windows. Correct? Can you confirm that ENIGMA's executable, compileEGMf.exe, is in the same directory as LateralGM's *.jar? Assuming it shipped that way, I need you to confirm that Java is being executed from ENIGMA's directory, not from the location of, for example, a shortcut elsewhere on your system.

The hope is that R4 fixes all of these problems, but large chunks of R3 do not exist in R4, so for now you are better off troubleshooting or waiting a couple weeks.

i figured out the error, when i replace ENIGMAsystem with the ENIGMAsystem core download it gives the error. but now i get a new error "compileEGMf.exe" has stopped working  and then it gives a Syntax error (255). i am using Windows vista 64-bit. where can i get the R4 build because i only see R3 on the downloads page

If you want to get R4:
1. Get an svn client
2. Checkout a copy of the enigma svn (you can find the svn url by looking around the download page at sourceforge)
3. Get code::blocks with mingw
4. Compile enigma
5. Run lgm
6. Make game
7. Click run
8.
9. Profit
10. Give all your profit to me
