I took some courses a few months ago as a front end developer. We had to make a web site. I chose to make one about hiking, named 'Entre terre et ciel' (Between heaven and earth), with some photos i took. Recently i updated the site with the bootstrap framework in order to make it responsive. This means it should work flawlessly on mobile phones. The hikes descriptions are not finished yet, and i've put Lorem Ipsum instead (c.f https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lorem_ipsum)
This is the first time i make a web site, so please be indulgent :P
You can test the site here : http://ateliers.nomades.ch/~depol/

As a teaser, here is a screenshot of the home page:

For a first website it ain't bad. I do like the routes and pictures. Did you really take them? I'm going to CERN this october so I will go near Montreux area and probably see that too. Looks like a beautiful place.

I'm going to be honest, the greatest experience I could probably have in life is to just go here and masturbate in the wild. If somebody would just stick a desk out there for me, I could accomplish a lifetime of work in so little time. I'm using one of these as my new desktop background for a while to freshen things up a bit. The site looks great and I am very impressed with its responsiveness with such high quality photographs.

I think it was Leonardo da Vinci who once said something along the lines of "If you build the robots, they will make games." or something to that effect.

Yes, i took all the photos. As i live in Geneva, where the Cern is located (some of the places are in France too), i know well this organization. On a regular basis, it's possible for the public to visit some of its places. Last winter i visited the Lhcb site : http://lhcb-public.web.cern.ch/lhcb-public/. The Cern is looking all the time for scientists and also developers, but it's very difficult to get a job there, as the competition is huge. I never had a job interview there.

I love Montreux, it's one of my favorite place in my region. It's about 100 kilometers from Geneva. You have often outstanding sunsets there. I could spend all my afternoons there ! :) They put also a lot of flowers and exotic plants near the lake. You can have a walk near the lake up to the Chillon castle. You should visit also this castle, as it is very nice. (c.f https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ch%C3%A2teau_de_Chillon). Here is a few photos i took in Montreux on different occasions with my mobile phone (the photos are a little blurry because i downsized them in photoshop for this forum) :

Also if you like mountains, and you don't have a car, you can take a train from Montreux up to 'Rochers de Naye' (c.f https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rochers_de_Naye), where you have gorgeous views of the region and the lake.

I would try, but almost every time, I manage to FX it up. I am not that concerned about it, I'll get around to it. All of your pictures are beautiful though.
