Eventually, I'll get around to making a detailed video tutorial on this, so when that's done I'll need help distributing it around for new members to find. I find the existing video tutorial highly lacking and confusing to follow if you don't already know a little bit about the system itself. The main issue is that I need a quiet space in order to capture the necessary video footage, so I'm forced to wait until such an opportunity, but once I have that, I'll make a video for it.

This is helpful when coding controller support, yes, but there are a couple of issues with this;
1. This only works if everyone who plays the game is using the exact same controller model
2. This doesn't take into account controller reassignment (which would ultimately fix the first issue).
Im going to work on making a controller reassignment script and/or object and Ill post the tutorial on my Youtube channel. I may even post it here as well.

I should mention I find it humorous that not only is your group Enigma, your name is also "Proto" "Link" and the entire new serialization mechanism we use in the new IDE is based on Google Protocol Buffers (aka "protos"). Anyway, welcome to the forum and I hope you have fun here! Our community members are extremely helpful so don't ever be afraid to ask for help.

I would record in higher resolutions, but my computer just doesnt have the power to do so (unfortunately). The setting for OBS is actually set to record in the highest resolution possible, but due to issues regarding my graphics card, it still seems like only 720p or worse. Then theres the issue with computing power as well. It definitely wouldnt be so bad if I had a tower to run everything on, but I only have a laptop.
Its great news that the program is being redesigned though. Dont get me wrong, I love it the way it is, but if the newer version fixes a bunch of issues this one has, then Im going for it lol.

I would like to introduce myself. My name is ProtoLink and I heard about Enigma from someone else because I was interested in video game development. I have a little bit of experience using GM8, but I wanted to move to Enigma for various reasons.
I hope to be at least somewhat active here, as there is a LOT that I could learn from everyone.
Since this is the off-topic area, let me go ahead and explain the [Glyphic Enigma] tag in my name. Normally I wouldn't need to do this, but I know some people are going to be curious why it's there and/or what it's for, so let me explain it now. Glyphic Enigma is not only my Youtube Channel, but it's also my Club! I came up with the name before I heard about Enigma so the fact that the two names are similar is simply coincidence. If you are interested in joining the club, then you can contact me via email (which you *should* be able to find on my profile) regarding details and things. Please keep in mind, however, that if you do decide to do that, you should put the fact that you're from this forum in the subject bar of the email as I get a ton of junk mail and I wouldn't know the difference otherwise.
I hope to hear from some of you soon, and if you have any questions for me then please ask! I think that's about it for my introduction so I will talk to you all soon.
