Oh well that's your problem right there I can guarantee it. Try copying the ENIGMA folder off E: and all to the desktop on C:

Wow that's really weird, can you check to make sure that compileEGMf.dll exists?

If it does not open git-bash.exe and enter the command "rebuildcompiler" and let it finish before starting enigma.exe and trying to build again.

If it still does not work, try building another game such as this one because I know it works on the latest version.

Also, you did make sure that C:/ was replaced with your root drive didn't you? What is your root drive on that Virtual Machine? Usually most of the time the main hard drive is C: but sometimes it's D: and sometimes something else.

Haha, this is actually pretty good francot. I like the sound effects too they remind me of Super Mario 64 Cool Cool mountain. The only real issue I have is the walking, the friction is really stiff and I literally had to jump my way through the level.

Anyway, your game lifted my spirits, thanks for sharing! I hope you are having a nice holiday season too!  (Y)

Programming Help / Re: Reading xml with Enigma?

ENIGMA could use a good XML extension, all it needs to do is wrap the methods and objects from Rapid XML which is used in my Command Line Interface

Oh no I know what's wrong Craven, and I can tell you how to fix it, I forgot we have to patch the compiler config for XP because ProgramData was added in Vista.

Open this file and change the following line.

Make it the following.
Code: (YAML) [Select]
Default-Windows: "C:/ProgramData/ENIGMA/"Also make sure the ProgramData folder exists on C: or whatever root drive you have, if it does not, please create it, the ENIGMA folder inside of it as well.

After you change that go ahead and launch enigma.exe again and everything should work.

I followed the same steps that fixed ENIGMA on XP from the following topics.

Howdy Craven, I would love to see if I can offer any insight, but first I need you to answer a few questions.  :)

Was any error message displayed when you started the program?
Did you install using the Portable ZIP?
Where did you extract the ZIP to, by which I mean the exact file path?

Also, please copy the contents of enigma-dev/output_log.txt to or and copy the link into your reply.

Works in Progress / Re: Platformer Maker - My firts project usng Enigma

You can solve that by enabling viewports, and set the viewport to follow the player object. That should do the trick, you'll get the same window size and it will move through the room as the player moves.

Port is the size on screen, the view size is the size of the view in the room which is scaled to the port. If you would like I can make an example for you, just ask!  (Y)

Haha that's awesome egofree you're saving me the work, really awesome to have someone else helping with LateralGM. If you get bored you don't have to finish I can pick up any unfinished tasks for you as well. Once this is complete we can also get a new Portable ZIP out, as I said I like to update it about every 10 or so LGM features/fixes. Are you planning to link the selection with the list selection? If not I think we should discuss that aspect of this because it may need done again because of the sorting that I am planning to work on, unless of course you end up doing that too. Regardless, keep up the great work ego!  (Y)

So essentially you're all done and waiting for me to move on to the next part ego? Or are you planning on doing the copy and paste?

Yes exactly to add more replayability value to it. It needs more!  (Y)

Hello francot514, it doesn't work because the physics implementation was never finished, it also appears some of the functions have changed since I wrote the original implementation for ENIGMA. We also offer our own physics implementation of Box2D that gives you more control over the engine.

The following AI Tutorial also works perfectly on the latest version. You'll need my alarm fixes though, to get them you just open enigma-dev/git-bash.exe and enter the following:
Code: (Bash) [Select]
cd enigma-dev
git fetch
git pull

I don't know egofree, we have about the same options as Studio's and it seems if they were combined like GM's has always been it wouldn't take up anymore room than the objects tab. Unless I am missing something?

These features are really handy for making RTS games and placing groups of soldiers and AI bots. I'm going to ask Josh to SVG those new icons for Calico though, they look a little aliased.

Developing ENIGMA / Re: LateralGM

Don't sweat it, it's not a big deal at all you just weren't aware of what I had planned and you meant well too. IsmAvatar seems to favor sorting it by functionality as well. It's partly my fault for not offering feedback earlier as I was still busy finishing finals at school. But either way keep it up ego you're doing great work, I've made mistakes too that I've had to undo, nobodies perfect, but you're pretty good!  (Y)

I actually have a few suggestions that relate to these features that I was actually going to start working on before you decided to improve the room editor, so this is great it means we're on the same page.

Basically all of what I had planned you are already working on. I am going to go work on an undo manager for the background frame, an event transfer handler for the object frame, and a moment transfer handler for the timeline frame.
