@ Robert - that'd be great, thanks, drop box is terrible for free space however, if you run out there's always Google drive. :) I don't think the portable zip is the only thing this should apply to, the source code and Linux version needs this too. Correct me if I'm wrong, git might have a feature like this for all I know so you might not need to do multiple version downloads for the source.

I must confess I too am probably a chunk of the problem. But I'm sure everyone knew that. I do realize that bashing YYG and GMS is not going to contribute any good first impressions and will probably turn a good few people off. Likewise I'll be toning it down a bit, anything good I can contribute to the exposure of ENIGMA and it's comnunity, the more, the better.

Though I also confess we need multiple stable versions uploaded somewhere because relying on only the latest build is hazardous as when I get my game working, it gets broken after an update, and if I didn't backup or keep track of a version of ENIGMA that worked best, with no release notes / older version downloads like what GMS has, I can get screwed pretty easy by just 1 destructive, untested update, which such crappy updates I've encountered many times with Enigma, not very convenient.

@DarkStar - actually Jayenkai makes all his games with quite a few different game engines but that doesn't include GameMaker  So I really don't know how YYG's existence would make any difference about his a game a week schedule. :P

I have uploaded a 'preview' of the game that only includes the first level, for until I finish the completed edition. I'm sharing this just to visually demonstrate how this game is different from Real Men Wear Pink in it's gameplay.

Each level will have a new type of enemy / obstacle to avoid. When you beat a level and go to the next one, all the enemies and obstacles from the previous levels will be included in the new level - meaning that it will certainly get more difficult each level you progress.

The view port is surrounded by two saw-armored machines that kill you on contact. These are present in every level, leaving you with very limited time to make last second decisions.

So this guy I know from the Monkey-X / Blitz Research community, Jayenkai , he makes and completes 1 new game just about every week. He's very talented. I find his gallery of hundreds of games to be quite impressive and inspiring. He makes the graphics, code, music, sound effects, everything from scratch. Just thought I'd share his work here. His website, obviously - http://www.agameaweek.com/ Pretty cool. And quite a lot of fun games, some simple, others rather complex, most of it is pretty good. No ads, all his games are completely free. His games can be played on Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android, OUYA, DS Homebrew, Html5, and Java.

I really wish I could find some people that would support me, someone YYG would actually listen to, because for some reason, I have no idea why, they are flat out refusing to tell me why I'm banned. Honestly I don't believe my behaviour had any influence on the matter. why they banned me, idk, but all I know is it's nothing to do with anything I've done. Life sucks.

Off-Topic / what?

So I discovered first thing I woke up and visited the GMC this morning they banned me AGAIN. This time I don't even have a clue why. Over all I'd say I've been getting along with everyone great over there, when they unbanned me, my reputation was in the -40s and in just a week or two it raised to -10 so it's obvious a lot of people appreciated my return. Then I'm gone, just like that, they didn't even bother telling me what I even did, which I didn't appreciate.

Great. Didn't see that coming.

Nope. While it is planned I don't think anyone can promise it being released whether broken or stable within the next decade or so. In other words it probably won't happen. However you can make for Linux free-of-charge, while in YYG terms is worth $200 normally (GMStudio Pro + the Linux module). Mac is completely broken, so all there is or ever will be is Windows (NOT counting native Windows 8) and Linux.

If ENIGMA for Mac won't be fixed any time soon I'll be one upset panda.

I occasionally have issues with custom variables as well and usually declaring them like so fixes the issue for me:
Code: [Select]
//suck my left hairy ball
var fuck, shit, dick, rectum;
fuck=-1;
shit=fuck:
dick=shit;
rectum=dick;
show_message(fuck);
