The video is outdated. I've added a lot of new stuff since then.

You can download it here.

Issues Help Desk / Re: Conflict between Enigma and Embarcadero Delphi
« on: March 31, 2019, 03:50:28 pm »
did you follow these exact instructions? https://enigma-dev.org/docs/Wiki/Install:Windows

I have Embarcadero Delphi installed as well (the 1 year free version) and I do not have any issues running LGM and enigma on Windows (at least when doing 64-bit enigma)... The only problems i have are with Mac and 32-bit Windows right now, and those errors don't have anything in common with the one you pasted regarding Delphi's version of Make.

I see you have ENIGMA installed under C:\msys64\enigma\ in my case it's in the Documents folder. But that shouldn't make a difference.

You could try just saying that the first time, rather than insulting a complete stranger.

Edit:

I heard you have been doing better socially since I left discord and I don't want to ruin that. The only point I'm making is whether we want more devs or users, we need to control our behavior enough to not come across scary to newcomers. Being nice when appropriate, (as in -- as much as humanly possible) will seriously help everyone's cause here. This applies to me, you, Robert, Rusky, Josh, and everyone else.

I'm not going to force anyone to listen to me, even I'm not the best at taking my own advice; I just can't help but see it would help if we all were a little nicer to each other.

@cheeseboy - scaring away people from using a game engine you majorly help develop and wish was popular, (and it has maybe 4-5 actual users on the planet), is a great idea, don't you think?

Believe me, the screenshots are very enjoyable. I could do this for the entire time I wait for the game's release. *faps violently*

General ENIGMA / Re: Great News for the NEW YEAR

Thanks guys! It's very nice being appreciated - THAT in itself is worth being appreciated and is appreciated. Even though i fuck up socially with fundies all the time, i do believe i will get more used to his personality overtime and that he will do likewise with mine.

This year may have started out good and bad in different ways, i have high hopes things will get nothing but better from here.

Thanks hugar for using my work and enjoying it as much as you have and for testing my stuff and being so quick to report to any issues you find that need to be fixed!

Thank you Robert for being a wonderful friend much like Patrick, HitCoder, Rusk, and of course Josh! (and fundies)

Thank you Josh, Robert, Rusky, and FUNDIES for being such a huge help with all my programming needs. You are all appreciated very very much so never forget that!! :D

I also ditto what hugar thanked ProtoLink for, you are da bomb!

My guess is that may have never been implemented. I honestly do not know. Never tried that before.

Announcements / Re: RadialGM Releases, MSVC, Vertex Buffers, and EGM
« on: September 03, 2018, 11:24:24 pm »
I wouldn't mind being an official Mac beta tester. It seems hugar already wants to do that for Linux and I'm sure there's plenty of people who can and will test on Windows. I'd like to cover whatever everyone else can't or doesn't want to do, as far as platforms are concerned, so we can get this ball rolling on all three.

More power to people behind itch.io. What a great platform they're running over there!

I don't find the game I published to be considered so terrible that it deserved that kind of sarcasm, but ok. I understand they have no quality control, but a lot of indie game publishing sites don't. Even app stores like Google Play and the AppStore don't.

@hugar:

The comment you made about Unity is where you lost me.

71
@DarkRonin - yes. The 1.4 IDE is Delphi. I was just talking about the runners.

72
No. The only difference between the old runner and the new GMStudio runners for the most part is there is no more use of Delphi. So whether it is C++, Java, Objective-C, whatever, it is the same basic idea. YoYo is full of bullshit.

73
How I wish that one day ENIGMA works with DarkRonin's video extension :D  GMS has won me over for that reason alone :D

Why thank you, son! :)

I'll have to give it another crack in ENIGMA once again and help you break those chains. :D

Welcome back! I long for the day you decide to contribute! Many great things would happen if you did. :)

74
but that shit is the price to pay for compiling vs. the RUNNER approach they used in the past.

They still use the runner approach. That never went away. The only difference between the VM and YYC, the YYC packs the data.win / game.unx / game.ios / game.droid / etc into the runner executable, as aposed to being loaded externally.
