Developing ENIGMA / Re: MinGW 64
« on: January 18, 2015, 12:20:13 pm »
GameMaker:Studio doesnt support 64 bit as like most game engines. This is nice to have. I know this topic is about windows, just wanted to say its also awsome enigma supports 64 bit linux but GMS games wont even run on that.

Looks like its all ogre for YYG.

@everyone

I personally dont want the children here, they have to be at least 15, thats my sisters age and despite the immaturity I know some pretty chill 15 year olds because of her. But im not sure if I even want that. There's some really big weirdos on the GMC of that age group. I can mention their usernames in PM's their posts and games are dumb as shit make no sense and are hilarious.

A little off topic, isnt it weird that YYG hired Brawl as a sandbox moderator when he was  only 16? Or Honno who is 16 and hired for GameJolt...

@darkstar

you do realise in order to upload to GP it has to be 50 MB or less andother  than thatif it is an APK file and runs on at least one version of android and you specify what its built for there's really not much requirements left. Once enigma fully supports droid, there's next to nothing for the enigma team to do for getting games on GP. You are thinking of apple, their store is a LOT more strict.

@robert

Thanks for the compliment. I try to take it easy on ADHD about once a month when im on my meds

DS2 I dont use anything of which you call "appstore compliant" in my android games yet I have 6 of them live on amazon. You dont need ads, iAPs or any of that shit for them to accept your app.

Also fyi YYG is false advertising their Amazon functonality has been broken for the longest time and they arent going to fix it they told me straight up that if I want amazon related shit I need to make an extension and do all that myself.

What they are STILL advertising on their website about amazon/gamecircle -

The truth - http://gmc.yoyogames.com/index.php?showtopic=614575

If your game is more than 50 MB GMStudio games cant be uploaded to Google Play because GMStudio doesnt support apk expansion files. YYG arent planning to fix this and HD games can easily break that size limit 50 MB is tiny as shit and a very low standard for games - http://gmc.yoyogames.com/index.php?showtopic=553433

So yeah when it comes to at least android enigma wont be much worse than gms once its stable

Nope. But I wish.

Edit. They are planning it but that is a big IF and WHEN.

Off-Topic / Re: Disable Right click on target HWND
« on: January 11, 2015, 05:44:48 pm »
It cant be disabled by the player itself that I can tell. It uses "Trong Player 11" and the website is www.trong.tk but there's no info there or anywhere else on the web I can find that shows how to do something like that.

I could probably destroy the menu and free it from memory whenever its attempting to be created, but DestroyMenu() appears to only work with menus attached to menubars at the top of the client area, and this isnt that kind of menu, its a popup.

The problem is I can find the "Window Class Name" of the right click popup menu via GetClass.exe, but how do I use that to get the menus handle to destroy it? It isnt a window, and the only way to get a menu handle is by GetMenu() which uses the parent window's hwnd, which as I said only works with the menubar items at the top of the client.

Argh

It does this in gms and enigma. The game engine isnt the problem as trying this in a pure C++ in MinGW and visual studio will also do this afaik. Ive looked everywhere on google and just thought to ask here in case if that makes things easier.

I'll send you the source if you want, if that helps.

I'm creating a partially open source flash extension for the GM marketplace which also works in ENIGMA. I would release the entire source but it relies on embedding a third party flash player. The problem is since I'm embedding it as a child window (which I NEED to do) the right click menu will open windows that can't be closed and can cause the app to crash in a variety of ways requiring the task manager to close everything right.

I need a function like this that is short simple and to the point, easy to impliment from a snippet:
Code: [Select]
DLL double disable_right_click_on_hwnd(HWND target_hwnd)
{
/*
your shit here...
*/
return 0;
}

Thanks.

Why did you delete your post egowaffle? It's not like you said something weird or embarrassing. All you did was reply to a weird and embarrassing topic, and that would be my fault, not yours. Im going to bed right now its 1 AM and my head is full of zombie.

Off-Topic / Re: How amateurs can improve a game's graphics !
« on: January 03, 2015, 08:38:33 pm »
But I disagree with TKG - those who make those mods are far from amateurs.  You need a lot of skill and knowledge of 3D, modeling, graphics, coding, etc, not something any "amateur" can do. :P

I'm writing a depressing new song, it goes like this:

"Let's face it, if 3 people died without a trace, ENIGMA is dead.
Let's face it, if Cros died without a trace, GameJolt is also dead.
If a volcano erupted in Dundee, YoYoGames would melt away.
This is why I hate it when 1 tiny little person or 1 teeny tiny
group own a website millions rely on. If they die, we all die.
Anyone else get a little depressed knowing your future in
game development is hanging by a thread over hellfire?'
