Enigma developers are sad because their product does not go to a large group. If they want to continue Enigma - I will try to help them with advertising.
Like you I am so fascinated by this product. I have vowed to do all I can to promote and help others as best as I can. In my first 2D release I have made several references to the ENIGMA in an attempt to get the word out. I even did a Youtube video on how to tweak the settings as indicated by the WIKI.
However I am no expert either. I've only been involved since March 2017, so there's a lot of segments, I need to go through and work out. I'm using the LINUX version, as I opt to do away with WINDOWS OS altogether. To much frustrations, headaches and unstability.
Personally I agree with you on providing some kind of money donation even if it is to help out on server costs. I had in mind to discuss this with the community on a later date, seeing that this year was a very difficult time. I don't know the full reason, but I believe there was a falling out with the other main members. I believe Robert and Goombert are from the original team .................or maybe I'm wrong.
I'm not particularly interested in the past, I'm more into the future.......well the present matters too, as it paves the path to the future.
Based on what I've seen so far, ENIGMA do get a steady stream of new members since it was stagnant some years ago. This should please Robert and Goombert as there are people interested in the project. As far as popularity goes, giving reference to ENIGMA, no matter what type of project one is doing is a start.
Concerning your tutorials and such, I read your tutorial and it was good. If I may make a suggestion
- State the level of the Tutorial e.g Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced.
Other than this, it was a very effort.
