Don't want to convince you of putting this high on the priority list with so much to be done as is, I don't really think I will use skeletal animations (neither 2D or 3D) but if 3D ones were also added to enigma that would be another thing that could increase popularity.

But of course I think both for 3D and 2D we need to wait until GMS supports them before we add them. If we added them first, to keep GM compatibility, they would choose different function names and argument counts than us so either we'd have to rename the functions to match theirs, making the original ones obsolete or we'd keep both the original functions and the ones introduced in GMS 1.3 which would give us duplicate functions with different names.

Adding new functions like obj model import was great but now with a lot of new features in, at this point I think there needs to be more focus on making enigma more compatible with GM 8.1 and GMS 1.2 and their existing functions, capabilities, etc.

I have wonderful news for you, I used this method on Ubuntu before CLI was released and it works just as it should...

Test run the game with the green arrow (instead of the orange one for debugging) and leave the game window opened, if you are running the game in full screen use the keyboard combination, Alt ->Tab to switch the window in focus to be the desktop. If you're using Ubuntu use the files and folder searcher which may be accessed via the icon at the top left corner of the screen on your taskbar.for other versions off Linux there should be something similar.

If the above text doesn't work try either "egm", ".tmp", or "tmp" It's been a while since I did this so my memory isn't perfect I'll update this post and let you know. Let me know if you get this working.

If you have test run the game multiple times recently, open the file location of one of those *.tmp files and you will see all your recent test run Linux applications which are prefixed with "egm", with a randomly generated number for the suffix, and the extent ion for all of them is obviously *.tmp.

To know which temp file is the Linux app you know is stable and you wish to distribute, use trial and error and the process off elimination and open each temp file until you find the build you were looking for, rename the file to whatever filename you want, usually should be the name of your game, and remove the tmp file extension (Linux apps AFAIK have no file extention). Take the app out of that temp directory and upload it for distributing where ever you normally would to share your game.

This is my personal rant toward Apple and their customers who blindly give them bank accounts beyond bank accounts worth of money that they don't deserve right into their pocket for the sake of bragging rights and because of them being the most well known, most expensive, brand name...

The quality of what apple customers pay for is like a hotdog stand. Imagine for a moment Apple and all it's rival companies each being a hotdog stand, all of which sell Oscar Mayer's which means they all sell in a nutshell the same exact hotdotgs (In quality). Let's say apple decides to sell their hodogs a little under cooked, no toppings, and at a price so big the aposing stands (Windows, Google, etc) sell theirs for a fraction of those sold by Apple's stand. A ritch guy  buys Apple's hotdogs out of curiosity, thinking "Hmm... Why are these mores expensive here?". Well, a classic case of why curiosity killed the cat. Before you know it more upper class people only buy Apple's hotdogs. Then celebrities get paid by the apple stand to advertise on their behalf why people should only want Apple hotdogs. As this cycle goes on those who are middle class save every penny they can cough up to get Apple dogs. A lot of these people haven't even tried the other stands before, so they ignorantly buy the most expensive assuming there is an actual reason behind the price. Little did they know they were paying more for less.

I've personally tried both Apple's and Android's "hotdogs" and I've heard very good things about Windows' mobile hotdogs. Apple I must say out of complete honesty is my least favorite. Android's are delicious...

If you are looking for more specifics on why I don't prefer Apple products, this should be what you're looking for...

So this his my conclusion, Apple has the highest prices with the lowest benefits matching those prices, while android being the better choice (most benefits reflecting the cheapest cost) and if you want a tablet or phone with an 1000x better camera, try Windows Phone or Windows Surface RT. Though Windows mobile devices are a bit pricier than Android, and the least amount of app titles on their store compared to Apple, Google, and Amazon: Windows Desktops, Phones and Surface RTs are still literally half the price of Apple's Mac OS X, iPhone, and iPad. Windows Surface RT tablets specifically have the most capabilities compared to the iPad, iPad mini, and Samsung, Kindle, and Nook tablets. Windows Surfaces more than any other tablet or mobile device to date to have such potential and is the closest to a full length desktop or laptop a tablet can get.

Brief summary...

Nook Tablet = everything an iPad or iPad mini can do minus a built-in camera. The price difference? Nook was $80. iPads are over $800 that is a tenth of the price because of the camera (which has crappy resolution BTW) and of course for the sake of being wealthy enough to buy Apple devices, to brag about the name brand you bought from, etc it's all no real reason to buy apple or should I say "crapple".

Windows Surface = Everything an Apple tablet can do, with a 1000x better camera resolution, and unlike Apple, everything that can be done on a normal Windows, Mac, Linux, ChromeOS, Solaris, and FreeBSD desktops can pretty much be emulated on a Windows Surface just as easily but with a more User Friendly, Tablet-ish look and feel. The price difference? Windows Surface $400-fish while iPads, as I already mentioned is a $800 robbery.
YYG have a lot in common with Apple, don't they?

Glady this doesn't effect me because I already have master collection, but YoYo already proved themselves untrustworthy when we discovered the spyware being installed from their html5 runner. So here's the stupid thing, it wouldn't surprise me if they are already doing this...

Since the YYC has to be bought seoperately, YYG could very easily get away with intentionally making the non-YYC targets incredibly slower than they already are, so that customers would get pissed by their games lagging art 5 fps so the y then by the YYC module. It's like a fish being tempted to get the worm off a hook and upon attempting it resulted in being hooked, fried, and eaten.

This is actually one of my absolute favorite videogames of all time. It was developed completely by one person - Simon Mesnard. Considering the graphical detail and gameplay quality, it is truly a mind blower to think he did it all on his own, very impressive. If you check the credits I was one of his official beta testers - though to be clear my full name is Samuel Venable, he misspelled my last name (one letter off) in the credits video. He also made the game with Adventure Maker ( http://www.adventure maker.com/ ), which adventure maker just so happens to be the very first game development suited I ever purchased or actively developed with. It's a great tool but very limited compatibility strictly devoted to Windows (Or html4 if you wanted almost all key features excluded).

I offered Simon to port his game to Mac, Linux, and Android via re-programming his game with GMStudio and ENIGMA, Simon loved the idea, but the task was too time consuming for me so I let him know that I basically gave up and lost motivation.

I assume you are talking about cheese boy. What would be really cool, is if he actually compiled ENIGMA into a native application for BSD, uploaded it here, and shared it on the downloads page. So then we would have a window, penguin, apple, and this thing...

I'm very certain if ENIGMA's further development was focussed more on adding platforms YYG don't already have available it would do wonders for both ENIGMA and the expansion of this community.

1)Google Chromebook

Not that this will ever happen but if we could get ENIGMA games running on a Chrome book that could potentially be the first OS we'd support that YYG might not ever add to their list of modules. If this were pursued it could really increase ENIGMA's popularity.

Sorry dude. I wasn't sure if you finished the video functions yet or if I was doing something wrong with enigma settings, etc I didn't mean to pressure you about this. you're right there are are a lot more important things to work on. Thanks for what you did though! :-)

Thanks for letting the developers know I'm sure they appreciate it. Also I strongly believe if you scrapped Tululoo Html5 game maker and migrated a lot of it's code into something that could be impliumented into I ENIGMA that would be in your best interest. ENIGMA already has all the same features as GM8.1 (except the obj_add and the other dynamic functions that no one uses).

Thanks to that we have features that GMStudio might not ever support such as Wavefront OBJ importing, Video playback, CD functiuons, etc. And if you ask me GMStudio's Ubuntu module is useless compared to ENIGMA because ENIGMA games are supported by pretty much all Linux platforms where as studio is limited to just Ubuntu.

Anyway the point I'm getting at here is if you help Robert and Josh make a Html5 export that would make enigma a lot more popular than it is right now and your Tululoo community would migrate over here and if you ask me I think you'd receive a lot more donations than you do right now since Tululoo exports strickly Html5 and no native application support.

Just something to consider, if you don't want to scrap Tululoo I understand I have no problem with that after all you've been working on it for almost two years now so I can understand why you'd be hesitant. :-)  one last thing, perhaps you could at least give Josh/Robert/ISM some coding tips on a html5 export or a peek or two at your tululoo code to help us out? If you don't feel comfortable with that either I totally understand,.

Sorry for being such a jerk at GameJolt BTW...
