Is anyone planning on implementing GM:Studio 1.x's Draw Begin, Draw End, Draw GUI Begin, Draw GUI End, PreDraw, and PostDraw in ENIGMA/LGM?

- I did not modify it in any way
- C:\Users\Samuel\Desktop\ENIGMA\

I ran it as administrator in the first place so I don't see how deleting stuff and starting over will help anything.

There is only one user account on my laptop, and, you guessed it, it is "Samuel"...

This should answer all of your questions - I downloaded the portable from github at that same link "fresh" and whatnot. This error happened. On the older portable it gave a different error which i do not have listed in this topic because i'd like to get the latest one working.

Also I tried updating Java to see if that would make any difference and in three different browsers (Chrome, Firefox, IE) when I click download I get:

Chrome:

...and click the download button.

Thanks.

Works in Progress / Re: Croky
« on: September 21, 2016, 08:05:07 pm »
Hey cobra! I am not able to play it because when I extract the file is "croky.bin.x86". I tried changing the extension to ".exe" but that did not help and I am unable to run it.

He said Linux, and there is no file extension for Linux applications, therefore don't use *.exe or anything.

General ENIGMA / Re: General questions about Enigma
« on: September 15, 2016, 07:54:44 pm »
Goombert,

something I would be really impressed by, is if you could pull off doing what you said, run GameMaker: Studio games (compile and run) with GameMaker: Studio's commandline / runners. But what would be especially cool is that this could open the door to editing and compiling GameMaker: Studio games on Linux and Mac OS X from within LGM.

The commercial Parakeet IDE does this (so it is perfectly legal) but it only runs on Windows.

https://parakeet-ide.org/

Since Java can run on Linux abd Mac OS X, we have an advantage here, so why not use it?

The only thing with that though, the end user would need to download and install gamemaker studio and all that seperately, as its against their terms to distribute mirrors of their software afaik.

OK... What happened to your comment though? xD

I removed it realizing I've done enough useless postings for one short time frame.

So, how to update the enigma portable build in order to run the new LateralGM? (Or do I have to wait for the new one in order to update it ...)

You can try downloading the new lgm and replacing the one the portable extracts with it.

In the mean time I'm joining a YoYo Games GMC Jam for the first time and I made a bytecode interpreter for GM:Studio that can also execute any GameMaker function. I made it work by automatically making wrapper scripts for every GM function like _GMfunc_draw_sprite(sprite,img,x,y). :)

This sounds fairly interesting. I'd like to see how it turns out! (Y)
