Issues Help Desk / Re: move_bounce_help

Is there anything I can do to get the kind of bounce I want?
If not, when will enigma implement more advanced collision detection?

This is for a breakout game. This function doesn't seem to be working correctly. The ball bounces across this sprite as if it were a block -
I do have the green pixel transparent.
Is this a GML error or an Enigma error?

I installed the other program first. Then, inside of the directory, I installed enigma, but it didn't work. I tried installing enigma in the subdirectory, then in the directory itself, but it didn't work.
I also installed it to the C: drive itself.

I can't seem to install the program correctly. Here's the error code I get whenever I try to compile a game -
Unhandled Exception:
org.lateralgm.file.GmFormatException - java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "C:\MinGW\msys\1.0\bin\make.exe" (in directory "C:\Users\brandon_2\My Programs\Enigma\MinGW"): CreateProcess error=2, The system cannot find the file specified
Stack trace:
java.lang.ProcessBuilder.start(Unknown Source)
java.lang.Runtime.exec(Unknown Source)
java.lang.Runtime.exec(Unknown Source)
org.enigma.EnigmaRunner.make(EnigmaRunner.java:248)
org.enigma.EnigmaRunner$2.run(EnigmaRunner.java:147)
Here's what happened when I installed it -
mingw-get error code: 255.
When I try to install, Windows tells me the MinGW program becomes unresponsive. How can I fix this?

It seems like none of the d3d functions work for me. I don't think d3d_start worked, either. I don't know OpenGL, unfortunately. Still, thanks for the help. Also, for instance_change, can't you just do something like this -
Quote
var xx,yy;
xx=instance.x;
yy=instance.y;
with (instance) {
instance_destroy();
}
instance_create(xx,yy,instance2);

I believe the glitch with the stable version is that it doesn't report syntax errors. On the dev trunk, it reports syntax errors, except for the fact that many are valid GML codes. It reported instance_change, d3d_set_projection_ext, and the lib actions as invalid, and will probably report more. I can't test many of my games for this reason.
After a bit more testing, it seems like the program doesn't like any d3d functions. Also, the instance_change thing is annoying as well. Most of my current projects use d3d functions, so this should be fixed. I think I remember reading that 3D should be supported, so it may be a simple code error in ENIGMA.
However, what's good about the dev trunk is that it reports the actual error. In the stable version, I just got 'failed to compile at c++', which is the reason I started this. However, the dev version actually tells me what it thinks the problem is.

On the dev trunk, I get the error that d3d_set_projection_ext is not a script. I did not get that in the stable version, but for I know, that could've been the problem. However, the syntax editor colors the function. Also, will we be able to use GM extension packages?

I have the stable build and pretty much all things set to default. The clown example works, but two of my own GM7 games don't. I get the error message above. Here's the portion of the message where the error is -
What exactly is the problem?
