How did you attempt to launch ENIGMA, you did double click enigma.exe from the extracted zip right? You can't run it from a terminal with that installer.

Wait, are you trying to use the Windows ZIP installer on Linux? That don't work. But on Linux it is not lgm16b4.jar it is lateralgm.jar, the zip installer on windows does not have the updated version so you just simply overwrite lgm16b4.jar with the lateralgm.jar And yes, it is simply, you don't have GCC installed Follow these instructions... http://enigma-dev.org/docs/Wiki/Install:Git

On Linux, this is usually caused by running LGM from the wrong path, eg, by double clicking the JAR file. The file manager runs it from the Java directory instead of the jar directory. Try opening a terminal, cd'ing to ENIGMA's folder, then calling java -jar lateralgm.jar.
Not sure about the Windows issue. Usually, that's caused by the JRE being of the wrong architecture. Do you have a 32-bit Java installation?

Roberth, I have made the test in two different computers: one with Windows XP where i used the windows Installer from here: http://enigma-dev.org/downloads/2013-05-21/ENIGMA-Installer.exe"Enigma Zip Installer" Under Windows "easy installation" For Ubuntu i have used the files and instructions from there: http://enigma-dev.org/docs/Wiki/Install_SourceJosh: Yes, i have installed a 32-Bit Java Version in Windows. I have an old laptop and the processor has only one core. Can this cause a problem with Enigma? About the Java version: The error in Windows XP: Translated: ENIGMA cannot communicate with the library
Either it can't be found or beacuse it uses different methods than expected.
The exact Error:
Unable to load library 'compileEGMf'
What could i do?

I personally think we have a problem with our distrubtion system. We have like 5 windows installers, but NONE OF THEM WORK. What I do now and should work is this: 1) Download newest version from git https://github.com/enigma-dev/enigma-dev/archive/master.zip2) Install this patch: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/21117924/ENIGMA_windows_patch_06_08_2013.rarIt will probably break in the next few days anyway, as none of our current systems work that well over time. You will also need to install MinGW (internet is full of tutorials how to do that). Also, you might try extracting my files over the installation you already have. This "compileEGMf" error is because you have to manually open CODE::BLOCKS project and compile which is just stupid. In the patch I uploaded there is a compileEGMf.dll included.

Fenris78 did you have mingw already installed before you tried the Installer zip?
I think the problem some people still have is with that hack cheeseboy did to set the env path.

Yes, i have installed a 32-Bit Java Version in Windows. It should run under 32bit yes, we use the MinGW64 compiler which includes the old MinGW32. I am fairly certain it is something to do with your MinGW installation, as polygonz has already asked, did you install MinGW separately? If so that will not work with the Windows ZIP installer. It will probably break in the next few days anyway, as none of our current systems work that well over time. Don't be so dramatic Harri, I for one think we have been making great progress the last week or two. I think the problem some people still have is with that hack cheeseboy did to set the env path. That installer should not be modifying the Windows environment variables, it should be using the registry.
