Issues Help Desk / Re: Error - Invalid assignment to function
« on: June 09, 2014, 06:39:07 pm »
My only concern is Josh that it could be getting included incorrectly or scoped improperly, by which I am referring to the connect() function.
Anyway, oddly the function does not get syntax highlighted, so it is not in namespace enigma_user, and clearly not in namespace enigma or we wouldn't be having this issue. It could also be coming from OpenAL because it's dll is showing up when I regex for "connect" other than that only Berkeley Sockets shows.
Also I have tested and have reproduced this bug in an empty game with 1 object with the following code.
And received the same function assignment error as the 11th plague.

General ENIGMA / Re: Phase 2/2 - Help Wanted - Final testing for the fonts and scrolling issues
« on: June 09, 2014, 01:58:33 pm »
The pull request can now be merged.
https://github.com/enigma-dev/enigma-dev/pull/748
However, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but we're not out of the woods yet. All of these tests were with a stationary projection and the issues may crop up with a moving projection, I believe this can be fixed by rounding the x and y position for the camera and then adding 0.01,0.01
A test should be made to confirm that as well.
Also important to note that Darkstar said that he had the FS border bug with no offsets as well, so this issue is like the projection is offset by default on certain cards, still an extremely odd issue.
Edit: Since his pull request was merged, I have updated the Portable ZIP.

Everything works fine here, demo was perfect, you also tested the FS border too which was good. As long as everyone else reports the same and you make my suggested changes, this can be merged.

You should listen to your parents TKG, save your money for a car. I'll fix up the room editor, and I'll try to get it done by the end of this week for you.

You were probably thinking about keyboard_lastkey, but it was technically broke too.

I already considered that Josh and Berkeley Sockets does have a connect() function. However, Networking Systems are set to none by default, 11th please make sure under Build->Settings->"API" that Networking Systems is set to "None"

Off-Topic / Re: GM:Studio Standard Now Free

I agree with TKG, not to be jealous, but I'd say they are all doing better than the average UK dweller, especially when Dailly has the ability to spend his free time playing with GM when not at work, or well that's what he claims.

Do you have a script named connect? What it's saying is there is a function somewhere called connect, so you can't use it as a variable name.

No that separator is definitely there, it is the separator on the toolbar directly after the create executable button. However it was being positioned improperly, I have now fixed that.

Yes please start another topic for that. But, let me ask you to clarify what you did here, and how I can fix the Portable ZIP for you.

Proposals / Re: Undo in the rooms editor
« on: June 08, 2014, 06:12:22 am »
Yes that would be a neat feature, keep in mind that TKG is also requesting someone spoof up the room editor. I am focusing on bug fixes and do not have time. The only thing to keep in mind is we want our room editor to remain intuitive and not become a cluster fuck.

Issues Help Desk / Re: Commands highlighted in LGM that are not supported
« on: June 08, 2014, 05:43:50 am »
Nothing is going to be done about this.
LGM is usable on its own, as a GM IDE that supports all versions of GM, it keeps a list of functions to syntax highlight for when it's not hooked up to any plugin/runner/compiler. ENIGMA plugs into LGM and then adds the functions it implements to the keywords list.
Also, the new compiler will be able to do execute_string.
