I'm going to have to pack them into a static library and just link against it.
Get on doing that then. Its the reason why I made datatime functions and some other things into extensions in the first place, as I saw that it was still included if not used. I have no problems with using extensions only for locals, but if it includes everything then I have no choice.

I can remake them if you fix this.

Hey guys,
now i've had a chance to play with things a bit more I think while particles are cool a better place to start would be the paper cuts on gm compatibility. I noticed that for instance backgrounds don't have a number of things working and some events seem to be missing. so i'm going to give it a go fixing these first. I'll see how i get on this week and get a git hub acc sorted out. g.

Hello! I'm Safwat1995 and I've been using Game Maker for a long time, I decided to switch to Enigma because GM's developers are only interested in revenue. In my opinion, the coolest feature in Enigma is its' ability to compile code, this is a major advantage over Game Maker. I wrote several tutorials for the Game Maker community and two of them are in the "Staff choice" section. I might move them to these forums one day.

I prefer serious programming languages for big projects, but I do enjoy using GM/Enigma for little things where efficiency is neglectable and all I care about is finishing the job quickly.

Here is my GMC profile: http://gmc.yoyogames.com/index.php?showuser=78555
My tutorials can be found in the "about me" section.

Welcome aboard!

We're doing our best to make ENIGMA's flavor of GML into a serious language, because most of us here feel the same way. The idea is to give the language features of C/C++ while preserving features of GML and sprinkling in some features of JavaScript and Python.

Examples are always welcome; if something in particular is preventing them from working, feel free to post a topic and I or another developer will probably help make the needed corrections to ENIGMA.

Cheers

I agree with Poly on life, universe and everything.

Also, parser done yet? I for example still have "Preprocessor_Environment_Editable/IDE_EDIT_objectaccess.h:108:64: error: 'struct enigma::OBJ_obj_controller' has no member named 'light2'" when the obj_controller has light2 and its used in a script which is called from obj_controller. It just pisses me off, as there is no real solution. I end up recoding many parts just to remove that variable from scripts.

Hello, I'm Frog. I have been coding in GameMaker for... well over 5 years. I started back when it was version 6, and have been always wanting to make a good game in it. I  recently started working on a 3D adventure game, coding everything from scratch (including model/animation format), minus the fact that it was running on the kingspace engine (which I eventually want to replace with my own). Anyways, as I wanted to try moving this, and other games to c++, so one day they could maybe be ran on other hardware, I stumbled upon Enigma. This made me happy, and here I am today. As a side hobby, I like to code for the GBA/NDS, and mod gamyboy games.

Hi all
I am Joe.  I have done a little programming in the past.  I have used Blitz 3d, so I got the general idea of how programming works.  I like the idea of drag and drop to help make creating simple games quicker and easier.  I have grown up with Intellivision video games and would like to create those type of games with additional features, such as more options, multiplayer, and adding online and network play.  I have seen that network option will be added in near future, not sure if you have added it yet.   :)  Enima seems to be the best choice for Linux and I like to support the open source world.  Once I learn how to use Enigma I would like to contribute in making tutorials and video tutorials.  This looks like a good project and congrats to all that put work into.  This can be something great!   :)

Haha maybe I should introduce myself.

I'm 18 and I live in NYC. I started GameMaker when I was 12 and quickly moved on to C++ a few years after. Other than that, I've made some websites using HTML, PHP, MySQL and Javascript (but I never moved them online as it's a lot of work and money to keep them running). I hope I can become a valuable part of this community! I want to see it go somewhere big one day!

I listed HTML in there too. I don't know any server side scripting other than PHP.
