Hey, folks. I'm an art teacher who uses Game Maker to do elementary game design with kids and I am absolutely in love with this project as Yoyo Games increasingly removes functionality, support, and platforms from the free versions we use with kids and give the kids to use at home (I still have a precious old exe of GM8.1, as well as Win and Mac versions of GM7 for any kids who have Macs at home).
I was playing around with LGM, and noticed that a fairly basic Event was missing from the Event menu. In Game Maker, you can check for key events for "any key" or "no key." This made it easy to test, for instance, if the player had was pressing no buttons and their character could stop moving, rather than making a separate "key release" event for every arrow and so on.
I can understand that those may not be terribly efficient events from a design perspective, but in the interest of preserving compatibility with Game Maker, it would be nice to include them. Apologies if this has already been addressed - I read back through a few pages of this forum and did a search but it didn't turn anything up.
Keep up the good work!
